Our superior room, with a king bed and a bathroom clad entirely in travertine, with a walk-in shower.
We dedicated this room to the stone of Rome. The bathroom is clad in honey-coloured travertine, with a large walk-in rain shower and a basin carved from a single block; in the room, at the foot of the bed, sits a bench made of the same stone.
The king bed is the largest in the house and the desk by the window is comfortable enough for a few hours of work. On the wall hangs an eighteenth-century engraving of the Forum that we found at the Porta Portese flea market.
